Berkshire Golf Club

Berkshire Golf Club is an 18-hole public golf course designed by Steve Dultmeier and opened in 1996. The venue also features a comprehensive fitness facility operated under the GreatLIFE brand. Gym members consistently highlight the quality of the fitness center, describing it as clean, modern, and well-equipped with a surprising amount packed into the space. The gym offers a variety of new cardio machines including treadmills and recumbent bikes, a dedicated weights area, and a basketball court that is generally in good condition. Members appreciate the excellent fitness classes, particularly noting the encouraging spin class. Additional amenities include an indoor walking/running track, an outdoor pool, and a recently renovated clubhouse with a bar and seating area.

The golf course itself receives mixed feedback from members. Many find it to be a good layout and a really beautiful course, with a practice sand trap noted as unique among local facilities. However, significant operational issues are frequently mentioned. These include severe overbooking leading to a slow pace of play, unannounced partial course closures, and occasional staff-related problems such as late openings or confrontations with maintenance personnel. The management, particularly Amanda and her staff, are recognized by some members for working hard to implement improvements and address concerns.
