Alchemy Springs & Sauna Garden is a modern thermal bathhouse and social wellness club in San Francisco, featuring the largest known outdoor sauna in the country. The spa's core offering is a powerful contrast therapy experience, where guests alternate between a large, spacious dry sauna and two cold plunge pools. The sauna is noted for its size, fitting around 30 people, and its clean, thoughtfully designed environment with natural light from skylights. Spa-goers describe the guided contrast therapy sessions, led by facilitators like Sina and Nahal, as transformative. These sessions combine the sauna and cold plunge with guided meditation and breathwork, helping guests move through discomfort, regulate their nervous system, and achieve notable mental clarity and mood benefits.
