Hearth Sauna provides a traditional Nordic sauna and cold plunge experience centered on the hot-cold cycle. The venue features a well-constructed, wood-fired cedar sauna that spa-goers describe as hot, with capacity for approximately ten people. The heat therapy is complemented by two outdoor cold plunge tanks, which guests find amazing for contrast therapy. Each dedicated 70-minute session allows ample time to alternate between these facilities. The sauna is sanitized between each session to ensure cleanliness.
Atmosphere
The sauna has a great atmosphere and the facility is noted as being very nice. The outdoor deck provides a pleasant space with seating alongside the cold plunge tubs. An indoor area with hooks and cubbies is available for storage, and a changing stall is provided for guests' convenience.
Staff
A staff member is always onsite to check guests in and stoke the fire for the wood-fired sauna. The staff is consistently described as helpful and welcoming by spa-goers.

This location in Traverse City is open four days a week, with multiple 70-minute sessions available. The spa also has a second location in Traverse City, making it a great setup at both spots. The last two Sunday sessions at this venue are dedicated to a guided group sharing circle.
