Von Sauna offers Washington's first public floating sauna experience on Lake Washington. Guests consistently highlight the authentic, wood-fired traditional saunas, which are described as very hot and well-maintained. Two floating saunas are available, with the smaller noted for being particularly hot. The saunas feature floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable seating, and are kept very clean. The core experience is built around contrast therapy, with guests plunging directly into the cold waters of Lake Washington from the deck via a ladder. For those not wanting a full plunge, a bucket on a rope is provided to cool off. Many guests find the thrilling yet relaxing cold plunge into the clear lake water to be the perfect complement to the intense sauna heat, often completing multiple cycles within a session.

The venue provides a convenient locker area adjacent to the saunas for changing, with public restrooms available a short walk away at the marina. The owner and host, David, is frequently noted for being friendly, helpful, and dedicated to the guest experience. The beautifully designed floating platforms create a social and welcoming atmosphere, often making a visit the highlight of a guest's week. The scenic location offers views of the surrounding mountains and lake, enhancing the experience in any weather. Sessions are 75 minutes, which guests find to be the perfect amount of time for warming up and completing several cold plunges.
